Cloud Services Brokerage Enabler Selected as Innovative, Impactful and Intriguing.
SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 4, 2011 - Jamcracker, the Cloud Services Brokerage enablement company, today announced that it has been included as a “Cool Vendor” in the “Cool Vendors in Cloud Services Brokerage, 2011” report by Gartner, Inc. The report – written by Benoit Lheureux and Daryl Plummer – identifies five innovative vendors and highlights some of the many ways in which IT providers deliver cloud services brokerage capabilities. Vendors were chosen from a pool of candidates based on their innovative approach, the probable relevance of their technology or offering to the enterprise, or the degree to which they reflect an imminent inflection point in the Cloud Services Brokerage (CSB) market.
According to Gartner, “CSB is a relatively new IT role and type of IT offering that is available from only a few dozen IT providers, although we expect that number to rapidly increase to hundreds of providers in just a few years. Providers that are early to market have an opportunity to capitalize on the inherent complexities of proliferating cloud services adoption at the same time as they help companies more quickly and easily incorporate cloud computing into their IT portfolio.”
The Jamcracker Platform is a multi-tiered and multi-tenant cloud delivery and life-cycle management solution that is used by hundreds of service providers, cloud providers and enterprise IT organizations around the world to aggregate, deliver and manage internally and externally hosted cloud services for their users. Cloud services may include software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or any other network-delivered solution. This provides the flexibility to create different offerings to meet the highly variable needs of employees, customers or channels while increasing the productivity of IT or back office operations.
"We are honored to be recognized as a Cool Vendor in the Cloud Services Brokerage report by Gartner. We believe our inclusion confirms that enabling the aggregation, delivery and management of cloud services is paramount for accelerating business adoption", said Steve Crawford, vice president of marketing and business development at Jamcracker. "We look forward to continuing to evolve with the needs of our customers – both enterprises and service providers – to deliver powerful, turnkey cloud service brokerage solutions that integrate public and private cloud services into the fabric of IT operations for companies of all sizes."
